|Total enrollment in 34 Kendriya Vidyalayas under Varanasi Region is 30803 and total number of employees is 1581 as on 30th June 2013. We believe in imparting quality education by adopting latest tools and techniques in the filed of classroom teaching & learning environment. Our most valued stakeholder is "child" who gets highest priority in all our decision making. The Regional Office not only supervises but also guides the vidyalayas placed under its administrative control and it ensures that the policies and programmes envisaged at the KVS Hqrs level are implemented in KVs in letter and spirit.Out of 34 vidyalayas 14 are running in temporary accommodation. The land has been identified for most of the KVs and in one KV construction work is in progress. We accord top priority to provide all requisite insfrastructure and facilities to our children for getting the best available at academic platform. We also organise various activities throughr Games & Sports, Social Science & Science Exhibitions, Youth Parliament Competition, Children Science Cogress, Scouts & Guides activities, NCC and many more to ensure all round development of the child placed under our academic care. The vidyalayas are inspected by the Regional Office drawing best academicians in the field to provide academic guidance to schools. We ensure follow up action on all the identified areas of the vidyalaya to ensure that the vidyalaya functions to its fullest potential. The performance of teachers is monitored very closely at every level. Through In-service training programmes and workshops we also provide the teachers opportunity to update their professionsal skills and help them understand the latest trends in the field of classroom teaching learning practices.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan consists of 25 Regions and KVS Varanasi Region is having 34 KVs. It covers Kendriya Vidyalayas of Bihar (4 KVs) & UP (30 KVs).KVS Varanasi Region came into existence in the year 2012. Earlier, KVs of this region were either with Patna Region or Lucknow Region. Currently, it is running in KV BHU Campus Varanasi. The Primary Section building is being utilized for this purpose.
The First Deputy Commissioner of this region is Mr. PV Sai Ranga Rao, who joined this region on 9th April 2012. As on date this office is having two Asstt. Commissioners viz. Mr. GP Chouhan and Mr D K Dwivedi who joined this region on 9th April and 4th June respectively. Mr M P Singh ,Finance Officer, joined this office on 12th June 2013.
